Hi, I’m Aafke, a designer and art director with a background in visual design and a passion for turning ideas into clear, engaging communication.

After graduating from the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, I spent over a decade designing and directing creative work for brands like Albert Heijn, Etos, Hoogvliet, and Praxis.

I’ve worked on everything from campaign concepts and brochures to social content, cookbooks, and glossy magazines.
My experience ranges from hands-on design to leading creative direction, and I enjoy collaborating with teams to create work that’s thoughtful, practical, and visually strong.

Currently working freelance, I’m always open to new collaborations, especially if they involve bold ideas, good storytelling, and a bit of humor.
